A New Toy!
It is very quiet here in Hippieland.
There is usually the noise of a small stampede in the house as Hippie takes her stuffed toys out to play. But today all is still…..
The play pen is deserted – well except for the stuffies who are looking very neglected…
The teddies who have been regularly menaced and who are awaiting repair have been left alone on the worktop instead of the usual retrieve and molest mission….
I find that sheep’s smile rather worrying at times.
And where is our heroine?
She’s gone to the park with her latest ‘best toy’

Yes, you’ve got it – no longer does she worry about the teddies she just rifles through the recycling bag for a suitable size plastic bottle (coke is a favourite) and races around for hours crackling it between her teeth.
Do you think it is a passing phase or is Hippie taking to the bottle at an early age?
ROFL! You know, my first greyhound LOVED empty 2L drink bottles, he spent hours playing with them. Not too bothered about stuffies at all, but he loved his bottles!
None of the others have been in the least bit interested. I’ve offered them, and they look at me as if I’m nuts! LOL!
I think we have an odd ball here – she is trying her paw at anything – all toria’s shoes have been eaten but not mine, certain stuffies are dramatically abused, but not all – and now… it’s bottle choosing! Where will it all end?

My cocker spaniel used to do exactly the same thing, she was a divil for them! That and empty flower pots, and handheld duster brushes, and hats. Never once looked at a ‘proper’ toy!

I think the funniest thing is the basketball that she ‘acquired’ at the park – its too big for her to burst but she tries so very hard!!!
